The project is a critique on the Hindu temple architecture and its relevance as of 2019. As time passed people's perception of Hinduism changed, socio- economic instances changed but the structure of the temple and the way they constructed it hasn't evolved. With immense evolution in Architecture and building technology, the design tackles new innovative ways as to how a prayer space can be designed for the younger demographic of the Hindu religion. This design approach finds reasoning as to why these principles existing from the Vedic period ( c. 1500 – c. 500 BCE) are still being followed. This is done by finding a correlation between other religious structures and their rational backing. From an empathetic point of view Symbology has also been explored although as a secondary study. By the end of Assessment 1, the study is aimed to portray the direction in which the project will head the workflow of research, findings and importance of the study from the mind of a modern day Hindu.
